 Sharon Powers currently divides her time between living in Hawaii and California,  She has two grown children, grandchildren, and a lovable dog named Mia. Besides writing, her time is filled with various hobbies, special projects and her family and friends. Sharon started her career in accounting and worked as a controller for a manufacturing company. In 1997, she opened Pink Lava in La Jolla, CA, which was the sixth women's surf shop to open in the country.  Sharon began writing screenplays at the age of twenty-nine. Two of her screenplays have been optioned, she's worked as a writer-for-hire and placed 1st in screenwriting competitions for multiple scripts. "Barney and Barry, The Hitchhikers" is her first book and is adapted from her original screenplay of the same name. It's a pilot for an animated children's series and the first story in her MySeaBuddies book series and "Lost and Found" is the second. She's also written a fantasy romance novella, "Seaspan", which is not part of her MySeaBuddies children's series.
